Turtle Blanket

A twist on my usual blanket animals, this little guy forgoes the animal head/blanket combo for the entire turtle body/blanket combo. It’s a commission, and I must to admit that I am totally in love with it. The prototype turtle is a little darling and lives on my desk now.

I'm a knitter and programmer currently living in the very green, sub-tropical city of Gainesville, Florida. I also enjoy dabbling in sewing and gardening when I'm not knitting or writing up lines of code. Because one only needs so many sweaters, hats, and scarves when they live in a place with no real winter most of my knitting either gets handed off to friends and family or popped into my online shop. I frequently have comissioned baby gifts on the needles, which are great fun to design and make.

I lean towards minimal design in cool, moody colors. My love of flowers and cute things has resulted in pastels creeping into my work recently. All of this bleeds over into my programming work as well, as I'm a sucker for a minimal, intuative interface. I also like playing with textures, especaially moss-stitch, and letting my love of art history and architecture inform my designs.
